About Rachel
My career has sat on both sides of the table. I've worked inside the organisations that fund infrastructure and community projects across central and local government and the private sector building the business cases, funding strategies, and transport programmes that turn genuine need into funded reality.
I've also sat on the governance side, as a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors with board experience including Telarc, KiwiRail and the Department of Conservation. Social sector governance including Community Centres, Sport and Financial Mentoring.
That combination is what I bring to every engagement now: I understand what a funder is actually looking for, because I've been the funder. And I understand what good governance requires, because I've practised it not just advised on it.
I founded RS Pinn Consultants in 2016 and work with councils, iwi and infrastructure organisations on business cases, funding strategy and governance advisory.
Outside client work, I'm a mum, Trustee of the Gate Pā Community Centre Trust, and I'm completing a Doctor of Business Administration at the University of Otago.
